ABB Main Electrical Contractor for Ichthys Offshore Project
ABB appointed main electrical contractor for new semi-submersible central processing facility (CPF) at Ichthys oil & gas field in the Timor Sea off Western Australia. The order is valued at $15 million. ABB was awarded the MEC contract by the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the central processing facility, Samsung Heavy Industries. When completed in 2016 the CPF will be the largest offshore production facility in the world.

Suezmax Tankship Named in Korean Shipyard
The last in a series of 7, the Stena Bulk tankship was named 'Stena Sunrise' at the Samsung Heavy Industries' shipyard. The Stena Sunrise is a third generation, fuel-efficient Suezmax and, like the other tankers in the series, will be employed on the spot market via Stena Sonangol Suezmax Pool. LNG-FSRU Vessel: BW Place Samsung Contract
BW Maritime inks contract with Samsung Heavy Industries for BW’s first Liquefied Natural Gas Floating Storage Regasification Unit (LNG-FSRU).
