Thailand Tourist Ferry Sinks, 7 Dead 100 Injured
A tourist ferry has capsized in Thailand, near the beach resort city of Pattaya. 200 Thai and foreign tourists were on the (allegedly overloaded) double-decker ferry reports RT News. Marines from Thailandâs Sattahip Naval Base have been deployed to search for the ship and missing passengers. U.S., Canadian Coast Guards Locate Overdue Boater
A U.S. Coast Guard air crew assisted the Canadian Coast Guard in locating an overdue boater early Monday morning in the vicinity of Bassett Island in northeastern Lake St. Clair. Just before midnight Sunday, a search-and-rescue controller at the Coast Guard 9th District command center, was contacted by a SAR controller at JRCC Trenton, requesting assistance with locating an overdue boater, who was last known to be setting fish nets in Lake St. Clair.
