Marine Environmental Partners, Inc. (MEP), a Dania Beach-based developer of ballast water and wastewater treatment systems, is relocating and expanding its operational facilities to 12,000 square feet at 3874 Fiscal Court, West Palm Beach, effective May 1.
Active in research and development of innovative marine water treatment technology, MEP has been recognized worldwide for its MariSan process systems that are ecologically safe and user efficient. Among the firm's recent honors, MEP's ballast water system was one of three advancements in the maritime industry internationally that was nominated for the prestigious 2003 Seatrade Protection of the Marine and Atmospheric Environment Awards.
According to MEP founder and C.E.O, Capt. C. E. "Bud" Leffler, "Over the past three years, MEP has been working with international agencies, industry associations and environmental groups seeking effective and efficient solutions to environmental issues surrounding ballast and wastewater discharge. Our move to new, larger facilities will allow us to grow our engineering and manufacturing capabilities to meet the ever-increasing demand worldwide for this type of technology."
