Northrop Grumman Corporation
announced that Dan Flood has been promoted to general
manager of Continental Maritime, a subsidiary of its Newport News
sector.
Flood, who previously served as vice president for Business
Acquisition, will oversee operations at the facility effective Feb. 1.
He will replace Dave McQueary, the current president of Continental
Maritime, who is retiring after 18 years with the West Coast shipyard.
Flood will report to Irwin F. Edenzon who was recently named vice
president of Technology Development and Fleet Support at Northrop
Grumman Newport News.
Flood began his career at Continental Maritime in 1987 as a
cost estimator and has held positions of increasing responsibility in
the areas of contracts, program management and quality assurance.
