PVA Elects 2013 President, Officers and Board
During the PVA Annual Convention at MariTrends 2013, held February 16 - 19, in Jacksonville, FL, members of the Passenger Vessel Association (PVA) elected Carolyn Horgan, Blue & Gold Fleet, San Francisco, CA, as PVA President for 2013.
Also elected to terms as PVA Officers for 2013 were:
- PVA Vice President: Terri Bernstein, BB Riverboats, Inc., Newport, KY
- PVA Secretary Treasurer: Dave Anderson, Fire Island Ferries, Inc., Bay Shore, NY
- PVA President: Carolyn Horgan
Carolyn Horgan is President of Blue and Gold Fleet in San Francisco, CA. Blue & Gold operates 19 vessels in ferry and excursion routes in the Bay Area. The company is also under contract to the Water Emergency Transportation Authority to operate vessels in the Alameda, Oakland, Vallejo and South San Francisco ferry services. Horgan has worked in the maritime industry since 1973.
PVA Vice-President: Terri Bernstein
Captain Terri Bernstein is Vice President of Operations of BB Riverboats in Newport, KY. This third-generation, family-owned business is the oldest riverboat company in the Greater Cincinnati Ohio Region. Founded in 1979, BB Riverboats owns three vessels that offer sightseeing cruises, dinner cruises and specialty cruises, as well as an off-premise catering company. Bernstein holds a 100-ton Masters license.
PVA Secretary-Treasurer: Dave Anderson
Dave Anderson is General Manager/Director of Operations of Fire Island Ferries, Inc. Bay Shore, NY. The company provides passenger service, freight service, and water taxi service to Fire Island communities since 1948. The company operates 24 subchapter T and K vessels ranging from 6 to 400 passengers. Anderson holds a 100-ton Masters license.
