The Board of Governors of the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) and organizers of the popular CMA Shipping maritime conference and exhibition have announced the dates for the Shipping 2004 event: March 22, 23 and 24, 2004.
Approaching its 19th year, Shipping 2004, the Stamford Connecticut based
international maritime conference and exhibition annual event, brings
together the international maritime industry - its owners, operators, cargo
interests, brokerage community and myriad important suppliers and
professionals - for two and a half days dedicated to the exchange of current
information on market activities, operational hurdles and relevant business
opportunities. Shipping 2004 also combines dynamic exhibits, product
launches, association activity with, most importantly, an environment
focused on doing business.
CMA President Donald Frost remarked, " Shipping 2004 is an event put on by
members of the industry for members of the industry. We always try to look
at relevant and practical issues as well as debate the big picture issues we
all work with. And that is the important thing, we want everyone who comes,
our exhibitors, sponsors, delegates and speakers, to come to do business
and, while here, to be able to do business. We do that and have some fun,
and that is terrific."
The conference and trade exhibits take over the entire Westin Hotel in
Fairfield County, Connecticut, the center of the international shipping
business in the United States. With more than 1,000 members, the
Association is active in the daily business of moving trade around the
world. Its members, therefore, are focused on creating a marketplace for
the pursuit of business, while creating an energetic and good fun,
networking environment.
