Petrobras Sets Record in Brazil

Consolidated Oil and Gas Petrobras in Brazil and abroad, production amounted to 2 million 795 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe) in October. This volume was 0.5% higher than in September, which was 2 million 781 thousand boe. Oil production in Brazil grew by 0.4% compared to September, and reaches a new high.

Oil production from Petrobras in Brazil reached in October average of 2 million 126 thousand barrels / day (bpd), 0.4% higher than what occurred in September, 2 million 118 thousand bpd. This volume represents a new record, surpassing the previous high, reached in December 2010 at 4800 bpd. October was the ninth consecutive month of growth in oil production company in the country.

The total oil production operated by Petrobras in Brazil, including the company operated by his partners hand in October reached its fourth consecutive record of 2 million 268 thousand bpd, 1.3% volume exceeding 2 million 239 bpd that had been reached in September.

Total production of oil and gas from Petrobras in Brazil was 2 million 579 thousand boe, an increase of 0.6% compared to the production in the month of September, 2 million 565 thousand boe, and a new record historical. Production growth

In October, ten new wells began operating offshore in the Campos and Santos basins, of which three are producers and seven injectors, which for 2014 have come into operation 63 new wells in total.
With the start of operation of boats PLSV type (Pipe Laying Support Vessel) Sapura Topázio (5/10), North Ocean 102 (14/10) and Coral Atlântico (20/10) in the month of October the fleet the company achieved a total of 18 units. Oil production from the pre-salt layer in October reached 606,000 bpd, 14% higher than the volume reached in September (532,000 bpd), constituting a new monthly production record in this layer. On October 28, the highest daily production in pre-salt layer of the Campos and Santos basins, 640 thousand bpd recorded. These volumes include the part that Petrobras operates to the partner companies.
Importantly, this record was obtained with only 31 producing wells, with 17 in the Campos Basin and 14 in the Santos Basin.
