Passenger vessel Spirit of Baltimore struck the pier at Henderson Wharf Marina in Baltimore, Sunday morning, causing 60 feet of damage to the pier and cosmetic damage to the vessel’s hull. There were 447 people aboard at the time of the incident.

U.S. Coast Guard investigators from Sector Maryland-National Capital Region are investigating the incident and assessing the damage to the vessel and pier. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

There is currently no report of pollution, the Coast Guard said.
The orderbook for U.S. dredgers is about $3B, and according to DCA CEO Bill Doyle, the incoming political administration could help this niche maritime sector continue its bull run.
