Cruise Ship Oufitting – Mivan Gets More Big Contracts
Cruise ship outfitter in Northern Ireland, Mivan, reports contracts from Crystal Cruises, Pulimantur, Saga Shipping
MIVAN announced at the recent Cruise Shipping Miami show that it had secured over £4 million of cruise ship outfitting orders for 2012 in Europe. The largest of these contracts is the £1.7 million re- fit of the Crystal Symphony for Crystal Cruises. The 2 week fit -out will take place in June in Blohm & Voss, Hamburg. This is the second contract Mivan has secured with the Crystal Cruises following the successful fit-out of the retail areas of the Crystal Serenity in May 2011.
Other notable contracts include Mivan's first contract with Pullmantur Cruises for the refit of the MV Horizon as well as the Saga Sapphire refit for Saga Shipping, both of which will be carried out in the first quarter of this year.
The cruise ship industry continues to be lucrative for Mivan as the Company delivered over £10 million in this sector during 2011, working for long standing clients Princess Cruises, Cunard Line and Carnival UK.

This year has also seen Mivan open an office on the south coast of England. The Southampton base will help the Company to further service the ongoing maintenance and interiors requirements of our clients in this Cruise Ship Industry. The office, which will house a dedicated Mivan team at City West, Millbrook Road East.
