Decom North Sea to Host Offshore Forum
Decom North Sea (DNS), the offshore oil and gas decommissioning forum will feature three major oil services companies at the latest of its lunch and learn events which allows supply chain companies the opportunity to present their offshore decommissioning capabilities to operators and major contractors.
The event is in Aberdeen on Wednesday June 13, and will include presentations from Halliburton, AGR Subsea and BIS Inspection.
DNS chief executive Brian Nixon said: “Our previous lunch and learn events have proven to be very successful, attracting a high number of DNS members including an encouraging interest from operators and major contractors as well as companies who are considering membership. Through this and the variety of other events we hold, we are giving supply chain companies the chance to seek opportunities for potential collaborations through networking and by building valuable connections for the future.’’
The event is taking place at the Palm Court Hotel in Aberdeen from noon-2pm. For further information and to register, contact Sarah Hillyear on 01224 452170. It is open to non-members as well as members.
DNS has grown since its inception in 2010, to have 200 members drawn from operators, major contractors, service specialists and technology developers. With annual decommissioning expenditure in the North Sea forecast to top £1billion within a few years, DNS was set up to tackle the main areas of weakness, which are inhibiting decommissioning supply-chain capability.
The Lunch and Learn events fit in with DNS’s remit to support and encourage the supply chain by organising a series of events, seminars and share fairs across the UK to help members benefit from the considerable supply chain opportunities within the decommissioning market.
