October 21, 2002

A team led by Northrop Grumman Corporation will help the U.S. Navy streamline security assistance and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) through a contract under the General Service Administration's Millennia Lite contracting vehicle. The contract is worth more than $80 million over 10 years to Northrop Grumman's Information Technology (IT) sector if all options are exercised. This award also solidifies the position of Northrop Grumman IT as the industry leader for NAVSEA FMS. Northrop Grumman IT will provide a broad range of FMS program and acquisition management support services for the procurement of Navy ordnance, weapons and weapons systems, ships and ship components, and the construction and transfer of Navy ships, ship systems and equipment. Under this contract, Northrop Grumman IT will continue to execute the day-to-day functional responsibilities associated with the full spectrum of FMS case management and program management services, ship life-cycle management and related follow-on technical support services for NAVSEA's more than 60 international customers. Northrop Grumman IT's solutions will provide NAVSEA with the latest knowledge management technologies as the FMS community expands its requirement for data mining and global access to FMS program data via secured website technologies. "Providing the Navy with services to support FMS utilizes our specialized capabilities and expertise in FMS program and financial management," said Barry Rhine, president, Defense Mission Systems, Northrop Grumman IT. "We are proud to continue our relationship with NAVSEA and remain committed to providing it with our unique services." Work on the contract will be performed at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.
