Newport News Gets $39.6M

Northrop Grumman Corp., Newport News Division, Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $39,600,000 firm-fixed-price delivery order under previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multi-award contract (N00024-04-D-4409) for the Interim Dry-Dock Availability of the USS Minneapolis/St. Paul (SSN 708) for maintenance, repair and alterations. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $5,000,000, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
