In July 2002, Transas expanded its new-generation 3000 line of onboard products with a new development, the Navi-Fisher 3000. The new electronic chart system is specially designed to carry out navigation and information tasks aboard fishing vessels.
Navi-Fisher 3000 offers a number of advanced fishing features such as creating and editing user charts; saving and editing ownship’s as well as target’s routes; displaying a 3-Dimensional seabed model; receiving echo sounder information in real time, and displaying a trawl model.
Other important functions of the Navi-Fisher 3000, which are also inherent in all the products of the Transas 3000 line, include integrated weather forecasting; multiple chart display and the possibility to operate with all major chart formats; user selectable screen layout; advanced Route planning, Radar overlay and playback function; integrated Navtex information and a UAIS transponder interface.
The 3000 line of Transas new-generation onboard systems commenced in June 2001 with the commercial launch of the Navi-Sailor 3000 electronic chart system. Now the range also comprises the Navi-Radar, Navi-Conning, Navi-Bridge, as well as the Navi-Fisher 3000, which is intended to improve the safety and efficiency of fishing.
