Electric Boat Awarded Contract Modification
Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., was awarded on Sept. 18, 2003, a
$43,497,352 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2112) to exercise an option for development studies and design efforts related to
Virginia class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (94%);
Quonset
Point,
R.I. (5%); and Newport, R.I. (1%), and is expected to be completed by
September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting
activity.
