NSA And SCA Merge

Donald T. 'Boysie' Bollinger, chairman and CEO of Bollinger Shipyards, Inc., and chairman of the National Shipyard Association (NSA) and Daniel L. Gulling, president of Marinette Marine Corp., and chairman of the Shipbuilders Council of America have announced the merger of the two associations. The new association, also called Shipbuilders Council of America, represents more than 50 shipyard companies that own and operate more than 100 shipyards in 20 states. The newly combined SCA companies employ more than 30,000 shipyard workers building, repairing and servicing all types of commercial and government vessels. According to Bollinger, "The consolidation of NSA and SCA brings together the most successful and innovative shipyards in the U.S. under one national trade association. There should be no confusion, SCA is now the voice of the small and mid-sized shipyard industry in the U.S. that serves the commercial and governmental marketplace."
