The Federal Trade Commission has cleared the $455 million purchase of Maritrans Inc. by Overseas Shipholding Group.
New York-based Overseas Shipholding announced last month it would buy Tampa-based Maritrans paying $37.50 in cash for each share of Maritrans stock.
