Incat Crowther has been commissioned by Singaporean shipbuilder Lita Ocean to design three new ABS-Classed monohull fast support intervention vessels (FSIVs) for Zamil Offshore. The new 60-metre FSIVs will assist Zamil Offshore with the efficient and safe transport of cargo, heavy maintenance equipment and personnel for Saudi Aramcoâs operations in the Middle East. After securing a contract for its Viking Princess supply ship with Wintershall DEA on Thursday, Eidesvik Offshore said Friday it had won a deal for the Viking Queen vessel with the same oil company.The contract for the 2008-built Viking Queen is for 12 months, with options for further extensions. Eidesvik Offshore's Supply Vessel Secures Charter Extension with Wintershall Dea
Oil and gas company Wintershall Dea has declared an option to extend the contract for the supply vessel Viking Princess.The 89,6 meters long vessel, owned by Eidesvik Offshore, will start work under the extension from July 2023 in direct continuation of the current contract. With the latest charter extension, the Viking Princess will stay with Wintershall Dea, until January 2024. Financial details of the extension were not disclosed.According to Eidesvik Offshore, the Viking Princess was the worldâs first offshore vessel with a battery hybrid solution replacing a traditional generator set.

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) announced that its towing and supply vessel Irgiz, belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet, has been accomplished major overhaul. Farstad Supply Sells PSV Far Swift
Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company Solstad Offshore said that its wholly owned subsidiary Farstad Supply AS has sold the platform supply vessel (PSV) Far Swift.Delivery of the 2003-built vessel to the new owner took place October 31st, 2019, said a press note.The sale of the vessels will have a minor positive accounting effect for 4Q 2019, it said.Farstad Supply AS manufactures and supplies offshore vessels. The company offers anchor handling tug, platform supply, and sub-sea vessels for material transportation, as well as provides logistic services.

Simon Mokster Sells PSV Stril Neptun
Norwegian offshore support vessels company Simon Mokster Rederi said that it has sold the 3,000-dwt platform supply vessel (PSV) Stril Neptun to Greek interest for work outside the offshore shipping segment.Stril Neptun was delivered back in 1999 and has served long contracts as combined standby and supply on the NCS for Exxon (now Vår Energi), Equinor and BP/Aker BP for many years.The vessel is delivered to the new owners and will head to the Mediterranian early November, said a press note."Møkster is grateful to all seafarers, office personnel and other parties having had work related to the vessel for almost 20 years," the release said.
GC Rieber Shipping Fleet Utilisation Hits 100%
Norwegian shipping company GC Rieber Shipping ASA had a fleet utilization of 100% in the second quarter of 2019.The operator of offshore subsea support vessels, marine seismic vessels and polar logistics and research expeditions said that the subsea and ice/support vessels have contract coverage of 44% for the remainder of the year while Shearwater GeoServices Shearwater has confirmed backlog of more than 26 vessel-months in the third and fourth quarter of 2019 following the award of multiple seismic acquisition contracts.GC Rieber Shipping had operating income of NOK 91.9 million in the second quarter of 2019, compared with NOK 60.7 million in the corresponding period 2018. EBITDA was NOK 41.3 million, compared with NOK 9.3 million in the second quarter of 2018.
DOF Wins AHTS Contracts in NZ
Norwegian offshore supply vessel (OSV) operator DOF has won work for two anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) contracts to support OMV's drilling operations in New Zealand.Two AHTS vessels, Skandi Emerald and Skandi Atlantic, have been contracted to support drilling rig COSL Prospector for two wells firm plus two options for additional wells.Both vessels are currently supporting the same rig with another Operator in New Zealand, and commencement with OMV will be on completion of this campaign during Q4 2019.Mons S. GEO's Twin PSVs Named in Norway
Norwegian offshore supply vessel provider Golden Energy Offshore (GEO) named two platform supply vessels (PSVs).The company's CEO Per Ivar Fagervoll said that the sister vessels Energy Empress and Energy Duchess were named on 29 June 2019. The naming ceremony was held on board the Energy Empress beneath the Seven Sisters waterfall in the Geiranger fjord.The vessels have been built at the Nantong Rainbow Offshore & Engineering Equipments Co., Ltd (ROC) yard, China.The platform supply vessels have been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS and are based on Ulsteinâs PX121 design. No Navigation Risk from Sunk Ship: MPA
The wreck of the Dominica-flagged supply vessel, OCEAN COOPER 2 that sank near Pedra Branca does not pose a risk to the safety of navigation in the area, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).According to MPA, capsized and sank within Singapore Territorial Waters in the Singapore Strait on 14 February 2019.No oil pollution was reported at the time of the incident and all three Indonesian crew members were rescued without injuries.MPA has since completed a hydrographic survey of the wreck site. The wreck is located at Latitude 1â°20.030âN and Longitude 104â°21.409âE, and is 41m below the sea surface.This is significantly deeperâŠ
