Greek Shipowner Acquires Altera’s Shuttle Tanker Business

Altera Infrastructure has entered into an agreement to sell all its membership interests in Altera Shuttle Tankers (AST) to Maistros Shiptrade, a company affiliated with the Angelicoussis Group.Altera Shuttle Tankers, a shuttle tanker provider, owns and operates 18 shuttle tankers in Brazil, Canada and the North Sea.The Angelicoussis Group is one of the world’s largest privately owned shipping groups, currently with 144 vessels on the water and 23 vessels, including three shuttle tankers…

ADS Maritime Holding Buys Into Equinor-bound Shuttle Tanker Quarter

ADS Maritime Holding has agreed to acquire a 5 % shareholding in AET Sea Shuttle AS and AET Sea Shuttle II AS, the owners of four modern shuttle tankers operating in the North Sea, mainly on long term charters to Equinor. The vessels are Eagle Blane, Eagle Balder, Eagle Bergen, and Eagle Barents. Shuttle tankers are used for the offloading and transporting oil from offshore oil installations.The majority partner in the owning companies will remain major Malaysian tanker owner AET, part of the MISC/Petronas Group. AET's Petrobras-bound Newbuild Shuttle Tanker Named in South Korea

AET Takes Delivery of New Shuttle Tanker for Shell Charter in Brazil

Tanker operator AET has taken delivery of Eagle Campos, the first of another three Suezmax Dynamic Positioning (DP2) Shuttle Tankers purpose built for long-term charter to Brazil Shipping I Limited, a subsidiary of Shell.Shuttle tankers are used for the offloading and transporting oil from offshore oil installations.AET struck a deal with Shell in December 2019 to operate these three Suezmax DP2 shuttle tankers in the international and Brazilian Basin on a long-term charter with Eagle Campos being the first in this series.

SCF gets $110m Credit Facility to Finance Ice-Class Shuttle Tankers

PAO Sovcomflot (SCF Group) signed a $110 million credit facility, for 10 years, with ING BANK N.V., SMBC BANK EU AG and UNICREDIT BANK AG, to finance two new ice-class shuttle tankers.The ships, scheduled to be delivered in Q1 2022, will serve the Sakhalin-1 project (oil and gas development in the Sea of Okhotsk, on the north-eastern shelf of Sakhalin Island, Russia. Exxon Neftegas Ltd. (an affiliate of Exxon Mobil) is the project’s operator and acts as the charterer for the vessels.

Samsung Delivers Eagle Pilar Shuttle Tanker to AET

Oil tanker operator AET has taken delivery of the Eagle Pilar, a new Suezmax Dynamic Positioning (DP2) shuttle tanker. The vessel has been purpose-built for long-term charter to Brazil Shipping I Limited, a Shell subsidiary.The vessel was delivered on Wednesday by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in South Korea.This 153,180 DWT DP2 vessel has been built in collaboration with DNV-GL and Eaglestar.According to AET, the vessel is operating to the highest operational and environmental standards, including full compliance with IMO NOx Tier 3 and SOx emission requirements.

Kongsberg Maritime Won $43,7M in Contracts for Shuttle Tanker Concepts in 2020

Norway's Kongsberg Maritime said Friday it had during 2020 won contracts for 12 of its Shuttle Tanker concepts, with a value totaling over NOK 400 million (around $43,7 million).Shipyards in South Korea and China are building the vessels, which are destined to operate between offshore installations and onshore plants in Norway, Brazil, Canada, and China."Common to all vessels is the integration of advanced, fault-tolerant, automated onboard systems and solutions to optimize operational efficiency, safety, reliability, and sustainability.

ABB's Batteries for KNOT Shuttle Tankers

ABB has won a contract to equip KNOT's shuttle tankers with battery technology and other electric solutions, with the aim of making the vessels fuel-efficient and reducing emissions. Eni Extends Charter for Torill Knutsen Shuttle Tanker

Shuttle tanker operator KNOT has secured a contract extension for its Torill Knutsen tanker with Italy's Eni.KNOT said Tuesday that Eni had exercised two of its one-year options to extend the time charter of the Torill Knutsen until November 2022. Data by VesselsValue shows Eni has been using the shuttle tanker to offload crude from the Barents Sea area offshore Norway, where the company operates the Goliat FPSO.In connection with the early exercise by Eni of its options, KNOT has granted Eni a further option to extend the time charter.
