MacGregor to Supply AHC Crane for MMA Offshore’s PSV

Equinor Hires Havila’s Three PSVs

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has secured contracts with Equinor for three of its platform supply vessels (PSVs).Contracts with Equinor are the PSV vessels Havila Clipper, Havila Fanø and Havila Herøy.Each contract is for a firm period of twelve months, with six optional periods, each of one month.The start of the contracts will be within end of July 2024, according to Havila, which did not disclose the value of the deals.Constructed by Havyard in 2011…

CMM Secures Funding to Facilitate Construction of Ethanol-Powered PSV Fleet

Compagnie Maritime Monegasque (CMM) has secured $94 million in financing from Summit Ridge Capital Partners, which will help the company construct pioneering ethanol-powered fleet of Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) in Brazil.The financing will enable CMM to recompose its shareholder structure and to expand its fleet, the company said. Panorama Capital Partners sourced and advised on the transaction, and participated as a co-investor.As part of this expansion, CMM will construct pioneering ethanol powered PSV fleet in Brazil.

SEACOR Marine Upgrades PSV with Hybrid Battery Power System

U.S.-based SEACOR Marine has completed the installation of a hybrid power system on its platform supply vessel (PSV) SEACOR Yangtze.Beginning in February 2024 in Norway, Kongsberg Maritime started the upgrade of the UT771 CDL SEACOR Yangtze with the Deckhouse Energy Storage System.The installation of the system has been completed, SEACOR Marine informed on April 4, 2024, adding to its fleet of hybrid battery-powered PSVs.To remind, SEACOR Marine announced it will convert four other of its PSVs to battery hybrid power in a move to enhance efficiency and slash emissions.The Houston-headquartered

TotalEnergies Awards New Contracts to Siem PSV Pair in Brazil

Vard to Convert IT Infinity PSV to Cable Laying Vessel

Norwegian ship designed and builder Vard has secured a contract from I.T. International Telecom Marine (IT) to convert its platform supply vessel (PSV) IT Infinity into a cable laying vessel (CLV).The PSV was built at Vard Brattvaag and delivered to Volstad Maritime in 2008 under the name Volstad Princess.SD Standard Drilling acquired the vessel in 2017 before it was sold to IT in 2021 and was renamed IT Infinity.The work will be carried out by Vard Brattvaag in Norway and the vessel will be delivered in the third quarter of 2024…

Solstad Offshore to Exit Platform Supply Vessel Business. Agrees to Sell 37 Vessels to Tidewater

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Solstad Offshore has agreed to sell 37 platform supply vessels to the U.S. firm Tidewater for $577 million.The sale will mark Solstad Offshore's exit from the platform supply vessel sector. Ongoing PSV charter parties will be transferred to Tidewater. Solstad will offer management services to Tidewater in a transition period to facilitate a smooth transfer for the parties and the customers.The offshore employees associated with the PSV Fleet will be offered employment with Tidewater.
