Indonesian shipping company Meratus unveiled SMARCO-Smart Container, a technology that leverages advanced sensors and cloud-based tech for efficient and secure container shipping. Using IoT sensors, GPS tracking, and cloud-based technology, SMARCO is desgined to providefull visibility and control of container shipments, including real-time monitoring of movement, speed, shock, intrusion, and temperature changes.After arrival at the destination, customers receive a comprehensive report on  the shipment process.

Kongsberg Digital Launches K-Sim Navigation CLOUD

Kongsberg Digital launched its new cloud-based navigation simulation solution.K-Sim Navigation CLOUD is based on Kongsberg’s simulation technology, developed in the SkyNav project funded by Innovation Norway. K-Sim Navigation, Cargo and Engine become first cloud-based solutions to gain new DNV class D certificationKongsberg Digital (KDI) said that its  K-Sim Engine, K-Sim Cargo and K-Sim Navigation simulator training solutions will be the first to attain certification according to the new DNV class D standard.The introduction of class D by the DNV represents the latest revision of DNV’s ST-0033 Maritime Simulator Systems standard, which has been brought in to certify compliant cloud-based solutions which possess all the functionality for remote learning programs.

Teekay LNG Partners L.P. signed a full fleet partnership with the New York-based startup, Nautilus Labs, to enhance the efficiency of its gas vessels.
