Portugal Announces Tender for Vasco da Gama Terminal

The Portuguese government has issued a an international public  tender for the development of the Vasco da Gama container terminal at the Port of Sines, seeking a concessionaire who would invest in the project.According to the government sources, public tender will for a concession period of 50 years with an investment of 642 million euros, adding that the specifications include the construction and operation project, with a deadline of nine months for the submission of proposals.The Minister of the Sea Ana Paula Vitorino said that the tender will be awarded in the last quarter of 2020 and the terminal should be completed in 2024. Crown Estate Hosts Round 4 Bid Talks

UK Launches Offshore Wind Leasing Round

QP Issues Tender for 4 Mega LNG Trains

The state owned oil and gas company Qatar Petroleum has issued Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender for liquid products storage and loading facilities of the North Field Expansion (NFE) Project.The NFE Project involves the addition of four mega LNG trains as part of Qatar Petroleum's plans to expand the State of Qatar's LNG production from 77 million to 110 million tons per annum by 2024.New facilities covered under this tender include a new propane storage tank, vapor recovery compressors for propane and butane tank refrigeration, a plant condensate storage tank, a MEG storage tank and distribution system, a new liquid products export berth and liquid product lines from the main NFE plant location to the liquid products storage area.Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi…

Bay State Wind Bids for Massachusetts Offshore

Bay State Wind, a 50/50 joint venture between Ørsted and Eversource, has submitted its proposal in response to Massachusetts’ second request for proposals (RFP) for offshore wind energy generation.Bay State Wind included proposals for a 400 MW and 800 MW project. GoM Lease Fetches $159mln in High Bids

Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Lease Sale 253 in New Orleans generated over $159 million in high bids for 151 tracts covering 835,000 acres in federal waters.Twenty-seven companies participated in the lease sale, submitting approximately $175 million in bids, said Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).“We are excited about the results from today’s lease sale, which show a continued upward trend for the year. Inpex Submits Revised Indonesian LNG Plan

Japan's largest oil and gas exploration and production company Inpex Corporation has submitted a revised plan of development (POD) for the Abadi  LNG Project, a gas field on the remote Masela Block in the Arafura Sea off Indonesia. The revised POD is based on an onshore LNG development scheme with an annual LNG production capacity of 9.5 million tons. "Big Three" Korean Yards Vie for Qatari LNG Ships

The state-run Qatar Petroleum (QP)  has revealed plans to order 60 new LNG carriers preferably from South Korean shipyards. Qatar's energy minister, Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, who is also CEO of Qatar Petroleum, said the company plans to order 60 new LNG carriers.QP has sent invitations to tender reserve shipbuilding capacity for LNG carriers to major shipbuilders across the world, including HHI, DSME and SHI.Most LNG carriers owned by Qatar were built by Korea’s top three shipbuilders, known as "Big Three" – Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).According to Korea Times…

ADNOC Launches Bid for Five Blocks

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said that it has launched the second exploration bid round for five new oil and gas blocks.The bidding will be for both conventional and unconventional resources, and the successful bidders will enter into agreements granting them exploration rights, ADNOC said in a statement.The new blocks are three offshore and two onshore.The five new blocks open for are known as Offshore Block 3, Offshore Block 4, Offshore Block 5, Onshore Block 5 and Onshore Block 2, with the latter offering two separate licensing opportunities for conventional and unconventional oil and gas, respectively. QP Launches Tender for 100+ LNG Carriers

Middle East natural gas giant Qatar Petroleum (QP) issued an invitation to tender for the reservation of ship construction capacity required for a fleet of over 100 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.The world’s largest LNG producer said in a statement that the vessels will serve QP’s North Field Expansion (NFE) project which will increase Qatar’s LNG production capacity from 77 million tons per annum (mta) to 110 mta starting in 2024.In addition to addressing shipping requirements for the North Field Expansion Project, the tender covers shipping requirements for the LNG volumes that will be purchased and offtaken by Ocean LNG (a 70%/30% joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil) from the Golden Pass LNG export project in the United States…
