Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. appointed Jeff Danis as the cruise line’s new vice president of Supply Chain Management.
Danis will be responsible for overseeing worldwide procurement, inventory management, distribution, warehousing, and shipping operations for both Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. He will focus on supplier relationship management, maintaining integrity of the procurement process, and driving efficiencies in the supply chain process, from planning to consumption and utilization. His efforts will be closely coordinated with internal offices such as Total Guest Satisfaction and Marine Operations.
Before joining Royal Caribbean, Danis worked with P&O Princess Cruises as vice president of Global Purchasing and Logistics. He also has held senior purchasing and logistic positions with Raytheon Systems Company and Hughes Electronics.
“Jeff brings more than 20 years of significant supply chain management experience to Royal Caribbean,” said Adam Goldstein, executive vice president for Brand Operations of Royal Caribbean International. “His expertise within the cruise industry will help us better manage costs and procurement throughout the entire purchasing and distribution process, including delivery to our customers.”
Danis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University. He is a frequent speaker at industry and professional events and currently serves as a board member of the Marine Hotel Association.
