Ship Explodes at Malaysian Yard, Four Workers Killed

An explosion on a ship being repaired in Malaysia's southern state of Johor killed at least four shipyard workers, news reports said on Wednesday.

The unidentified merchant vessel was docked at the Malaysian Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd's quarters at the port of Pasir Gudang when the explosion reportedly occurred at about 10 a.m.).

It was reported that at least four workers were killed as a result of suffocation. The blaze, whose cause remains unknown, broke out after the explosion but was put out by firefighters
