Maritime Training Academy are adding to its portfolio of training courses with the addition of seven new Diplomas, confirming its position as a world leader in the provision of distance learning training within the maritime industry.

The seven new training courses cover Maritime Firefighting, Marine Insurance Claims, Offshore Operations, Restoration of Historic Ships and Boats, the Role of the Superyacht Deckhand, Tanker Operations and Health and Safety in Ship Operations.

All modules within a Diploma are written by one of the Maritime Training Academy’s carefully selected authors who are chosen for their extensive practical experience and expertise.

Richard Cray, Course Director for the new Marine Insurance Claims Diploma, said  “A MTA course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview for people either working in or interested in the Maritime Industry. Our job is to encourage critical thinking in students through learning they can readily apply in their jobs. These courses have the rigour of world leading learning design behind them and tap into the latest thinking and knowledge of our industry leading authors.”

Studying by distance learning students can enjoy a flexible approach to their learning with the Academy team being on hand to provide support whenever required. Student registrations are now open for any of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ with courses starting in October 2016.
