The GAC Marine Logistics (GML) team has expanded with three new positions, based in Dubai and Singapore, created to meet the needs of a growing business which has jumped five-fold since operations began in June 2003.
Mr Tony Gennadopoulus has been named Regional Sales Manager based in GML’s global headquarters in Dubai. Tony will be responsible for promoting GML, the GAC Group’s unique ship spares delivery solution to ship owners and management companies in the Middle East and Mediterranean areas.
Prior to this appointment, Tony has been with GAC for the past nine years as Business Manager, Logistics Services in Sharjah where he succeeded in securing major accounts in the offshore marine sector. Tony’s Greek origin and broad experience in logistics in the Gulf region will give him the added advantage in servicing customers in the Mediterranean and Middle East areas.
Ms Suguna Sirinivasan joins GML as the Business Development Manager, overseeing its expansion across Asia. Suguna’s immediate priority is to establish GML’s coordination centre in Singapore to meet the needs of clients in the region.
Based in Singapore, Suguna has over ten years of management and operational experience in the marine logistics sector. Her last position was with Schenker where she pioneered its ship spares logistics department.
Jason Chong has been appointed Singapore’s GML Representative, acting as the key contact person between customers and suppliers to ensure smooth and seamless door-to-deck delivery of ship spares.
Jason brings to this position eight years of experience in the third party logistics industry where he was involved in the management of supply chains of multinationals companies such as Microsoft, Walmart and Ericsson.
