Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

March 16, 2004

ICT group of companies will invest $30M in construction of the first transport and logistic center in St. Petersburg. This center, is expected to meet the highest international standards, will be constructed on Kubinskaya street in Predportovaya-1 industrial zone. Project management will be carried out by Incotec. Construction of the first phase of transport and logistic center is to start in March 2004. Total construction area will make 18,4 hectares. Construction of the second phase on the area of 6,2 hectares will start in 2005. The center will be completed in the beginning of 2006. This center is the second large project of ICT group (the first is Interterminal storage complex in Parnas industrial zone (see the note below) within the program of the construction of chain of logistic centers.

The Logistic center will include several A-class storage terminals for cargoes of different types. It will also have multi-purpose sheltered storage houses of A-class with total area of 50 thousand square meters. Annual goods turnover at the place will exceed 1 mln. tons. Storage houses for temporary storing and customs storehouse also might be constructed on the territory of the complex. Goods requiring specific temperatures will be kept in special storehouse with total area of 9 thousand square meters. It will be able to store about 15 thousand pallets and maintain any temperature between 28 degrees below zero and 5 degrees above zero. Annual goods turnover of this storehouse will make 350 thousand tons. The complex will also have container depot for loaded and empty containers. Its annual container turnover will make about 150 thousand TEU in 20 feet equivalent. Storage terminals and container depot will have access to motor roads and railway with total length of 1,7 km.

Logistic center on Kubinskaya will both accept railway consists and road trains. It will have modern parking lot for over 100 heavy haulers. It will accept and process containers transported both to and from the port unloading and reloading them. The center will also conduct freight forwarding by all means of transportation, storage, all kinds of loading and unloading operations, selection of consignment with following distribution etc. Oleg Morozov, head of Incotec Board of Directors, believes that the center will become an integral part the Big Port of St-Petersburg transport infrastructure, processing large part of transit cargoes. Cargoes delivered to the port and from it will be transported with greater speed. Today, when the goods turnover of the Big Port of St-Petersburg is constantly increasing, it does not possess any extra grounds for transfer and processing of cargoes and the new center will become such a place. Construction of Incotec logistic center is also a good contribution into development of Predportovaya railway station. The new logistic center will contribute to the development of St-Petersburg transport infrastructure in general. According to Oleg Morozov construction of the center will become one of the major stages of development of Russian and international transport connections, improving cooperation between different means of transportation and bringing it to international standards.
