Lockheed Information Systems has been awarded a $287 million contract with options for continued production of the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) - the U.S. Navy's standard avionics testing system.
The contract calls for Lockheed Martin to provide CASS stations in production lots 10 to 13 through 2005. The company is known as the provider of all preceding sales of the Navy's standard test system. CASS is a highly flexible automatic test equipment station, which eliminates more than 25 unique testers that supported multiple electronic systems, while lowering critical carrier space requirements by more than 30 percent.
