LDA’s First Wind Farm Maintenance Vessel Launched

Louis Dreyfus Armateurs Group’s (LDA) first service operation vessel dedicated to the maintenance of offshore wind farms for the Danish giant Ørsted was launched in Turkey at the CEMRE shipyard, where the vessel has now entered the final construction phase.

The new vessel, Wind of Change, is scheduled for final delivery early next year. It will be operated for Ørsted and will allow technicians to perform turbine maintenance at the Borkum Riffgrund 1 & 2 and Gode Wind 1 & 2 wind farms off Germany.

Last April, Ørsted ordered a second maintenance vessel to be delivered in 2021, dedicated to the Hornsea Two fields off the coast of England.

Accommodation: Capacity of 90 persons including more than 60 wind farm technicians
