Largest Barge of Caspian Sea Undergone Overhaul

The barge of STB-1 owned by the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet of the CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has undergone an overhaul. The overhaul has been carried out at the Bibi-Heybat Shipyard.

As part of the overhaul, the underwater and surface parts of the barge were cleaned and painted. Along with this, the bottom-side reinforcement of the barge was repaired.

At the end of the overhaul, the barge “STB-1” was handed over to the crew members and Registry Classification representatives. The barge has already been released to water and shipped to the port (base) belonging to the Caspian Sea Oil Fleet.

The length of the barge “STB-1” is 163, width – 45 meters. The safe load capacity is 18000 tons. Barge STB-1 is the largest barge in the Caspian Sea.

“STB-1” is used in the transportation of large-sized support blocks for the construction of fixed offshore platforms.
