Lankhorst Ropes opens first Arabian Sales Office in Dubai

Leading maritime ropes supplier, Lankhorst Ropes is opening its first branch office in the Arabian Peninsula at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, at the beginning of April. The new office will provide sales and technical support to the growing number of Lankhorst customers in the region. The Dubai office brings to eight the number of Lankhorst Ropes sales offices globally.

Lankhorst Ropes supplies both synthetic and steelwire rope to maritime companies. With increasing commercial and environmental demands on maritime operators, the Dubai office is latest element in Lankhorst Ropes' strategy of providing local customer support.

The Dubai office will give customers in the region access to the knowledge and experience needed to assist them in assessing rope performance and handling, and optimising mooring operations,” said Wilco Stroet, Managing Director of Lankhorst Ropes.

The sales office called Lankhorst Ropes Middle East will be managed by Mark Pieter Frölich, a Mechanical Engineer, with over 5 years experience at Lankhorst Ropes head office in Sneek, The Netherlands. The office will be registered at Jebel Ali Free Zone Area (JAFZA) in Dubai. The Lankhorst Ropes synthetic and steelwire stockpoints in the region will remain in Fujairah and Dubai.

In addition to the Dubai office, Lankhorst Ropes Maritime Division has offices in Sneek and Dordrecht (The Netherlands), Póvoa de Varzim (Portugal), Irún (Spain), Brisbane (Australia), Workshop (UK), Rio de Janeiro (Brasil).
