Konecranes Introduce SE Asia Remote Services
Leading crane service organisation Konecranes says it is introducing to the South-East Asia – Pacific region its most advanced family of remote service technologies, its TRUCONNECT Remote Services for enhanced safety, reliability and efficiency.
The Konecranes Group – which has more than 420,000 cranes of all makes under service contract worldwide – says this latest innovation in its crane service business includes a variety of distinct remote services, ranging from periodic data reporting to real-time diagnostics, technical support and production monitoring.
“TRUCONNECT Remote Monitoring and Reporting is being introduced to help customers improve the productivity of their equipment by optimising crane usage, improving safety and optimizing crane maintenance. All of these improvements are made possible by TRUCONNECT technology providing crucial information at the right time,” says Konecranes Senior Vice President, Head of Region, South-East Asia Pacific, Mr Steve Gagnuss.
"Konecranes TRUCONNECT Remote Monitoring and Reporting service provides users with a clear view of their crane’s usage through continuous data collection. For the customer, this means improved safety and higher efficiency because crane maintenance can be planned according to the crane’s actual usage. Furthermore, it also provides information on lifecycle of crane components which helps customers plan budgets for maintenance or expansion ahead of time,” says Mr Gagnuss.
TRUCONNECT’s remote connection is based on a diagnostic unit that collects detailed information from the crane and sends it back to Konecranes Remote Center through a highly secured connection inside VPN tunnelling. The Remote Center analyzes and compiles the information into a report that users can view online.
Konecranes explains that TRUCONNECT Remote Monitoring and Reporting offers four distinct benefits for users:
- Improved equipment SAFETY issues.
- Maintenance recommendations based on REAL USAGE.
- BETTER FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVEs for future requirements and investments.
- Access to the best expertise and knowledge in TROUBLESHOOTING cases, to minimize downtime.
As an additional value-added service, safety alerts, such as hoist overloads and other safety-related information, can be delivered to the customer by email or text message shortly after each occurrence.
Currently TRUCONNECT Remote Monitoring and Reporting is available for CXT and SMARTON lines of industrial cranes and TRUCONNECT Remote Monitoring and Reporting with Safety Alerts is available for CXT cranes, says Konecranes, which is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of overhead cranes and hoists.
