The U.S. Coast Guard investigation into a ferry crash at San Francisco's Pier 43 on May 6 is still continuing. A Baylink ferry bound for Vallejo crashed into Pier 43 shortly before 4:30 p.m. after the boat's captain lost control of the vessel while backing out of Pier 41. According to CBS5, alcohol tests conducted on members of boat crew on site showed negative results. Officials do not consider the crash to be the result of any negligence on the part of the captain nor lie with poor boat maintenance. The boat was carrying 142 passengers and nine people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries resulting from the crash. (Source: CBS5)
