Final Gate Installed in Panama Canal Expansion

The Panama Canal Expansion, the canal's largest project since its original construction more than 100 years ago, is now 88 percent complete overall, with several major components such as its dry excavation and dredging projects already finished, the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) reported.

 

In addition to all eight gates having been installed on the Atlantic side have, the final gate on the Pacific side was installed on April 28.
