LOKRING Updates Installation Procedures Document

LOKRING Technology LLC, producers of advanced fluid and gas transfer connectors, issued a new version of its Installation Procedures Document LP-105. This comprehensive installation guide complements the LOKRING Distributor Installation Training Course and is an essential tool for those using LOKRING products.

LOKRING’s advanced fluid and gas transfer connectors are produced under quality systems certified to ISO 9001:2008. The patented LOKRING connector was derived from aerospace technology and is a leak-free fitting that is easy to install and requires no heat for installation. The guide covers carbon steel (MAS and LTCS), stainless steel (SS40 and SS-3300) and CuNi (CN200 and CN700) pipe (NPS) fittings. It also includes tube (OD) fitting installations for LOKRING’s stainless steel and copper nickel range.

“The Installation Procedures Document LP-105 is a necessary resource for learning the procedures needed to become a trained LOKRING installer,” said Martin Parker, director of sales and marketing, LOKRING Technology. “It’s also an essential reference tool for installers wanting to stay up-to-date on the latest installation procedures.”

LOKRING couplings and fittings are ideally suited for fast-track or cost-effective fabrication of small bore piping and OD tube systems and field modification and repair of existing piping and OD tube systems. When used, LOKRING provides a highly efficient alternative to field welding or flanging and is consistent with good engineering practice in the design and construction of piping and OD tube systems. Where pressures, temperatures, or services require conformance with national standards to pressure piping, LOKRING couplings and fittings have been designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of those standards.

In addition, LOKRING provides design, materials and workmanship conforming to the requirements of ASME B31.1, 31.3, 31.4, 31.8, and 31.9 codes (reference section 9.0 items 1, 2, 3 and 4.) Following the Installation Procedures Document ensures that the final assembly and installation provides a joint that conforms to the ASME B31 codes.
