The Through Transport Club, the insurance mutual for ship operators, stevedores, port authorities, transport and logistics companies and freight
forwarders worldwide, has appointed Louise Bradley to the new position of director of e-commerce strategy. Based in London, the appointment highlights the growing importance of the TT Club's suite of Internet services, which include ClaimsTrac, eClaims and TTXpress.com.
Bradley, a graduate in law from Queen's University, Belfast, will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the club's e-commerce presence. As well as identifying and evaluating new products and
strategic alliances, she will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of existing services.
"Louise brings a rich and varied experience to this important new role," said Paul Neagle, TT Club's CEO. "Her background in marketing,
underwriting and business development, especially in the promotion and delivery of Internet products to a variety of transport and affiliated
communities, makes her ideally suited to drive the Club's e-commerce growth."
TTXpress.com, TT's Internet-based quotation service launched last year, has experienced an uptake worldwide among insurance brokers and their clients.
It is aimed at small to medium sized transport operators seeking a more standardized type of insurance.
TTXpress.com complements two further, established on-line services. ClaimsTrac is a tool that enables club members and other nominees to
access and analyze their claims and risk management information in real time from the club's database, while eClaims gives members and their brokers the time-saving option of submitting claims electronically, so reducing
information input duplication and error possibilities.
"The Internet will be an increasingly important driver in the club's success, broadening its product range and making it accessible to a wide
range of operators and their intermediaries internationally," Bradley said. "The increasing availability and uptake of broadband Internet access will enable us to tailor increasingly sophisticated services to our members'
needs."
Bradley received her Masters degree in International Business and Transport Law at City of London University. She worked for several years in the marketing department of NatWest International Bank, specializing in the
German and Benelux corporate sectors. Since joining Thomas Miller & Co, the management company of the TT Club, Louise has maintained her European expertise, managing customer accounts in France, Germany and the Netherlands as well as in the UK and Ireland. For the last three years she has worked in the business development unit of Thomas Miller in London, Managers of the TT
Club.
