June 18, 2008

Starting July 11, 2008 Hamburg Süd is launching a new service between Asia / Far East and India / Pakistan
with simultaneous sailings from Port Kelang and Shanghai.

The new, weekly fixed-day service comprises two slings and will intend to provide fast and reliable direct connections between PR China / Hong Kong /
Taiwan and India Subcontinent. At the same time, this means that,  with the recently restructured EPIC Service (Northern Europe -
Mediterranean Region, Middle East, India / Pakistan), the shipping  group's links from and to India are being further expanded. In
addition, this new service also ensures good onward connections to Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific coast of South America.

Sling 1 has the following port rotation: Shanghai - Ningbo - Hong Kong - Singapore - Port Kelang - Nhava Sheva - Port Kelang -
Singapore- Hong Kong - Shanghai.

In Sling 2 the port rotation reads: Port Kelang - Singapore - Colombo - Karachi - Mundra - Tuticorin - Port Kelang.

In this sling Hamburg Süd is providing one vessel with a slot capacity of 1,500 TEU.
