Holland's IHC Merwede Chooses IFS Software Solution

Swedish business software applications company IFS say they have been selected by dredging vessel, mining & equipment firm IHC Merwede to support its key business processes. The contract licenses are worth approximately EUR 2 million.

IFS Applications will be implemented as IHC Merwede’s single ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning)  supporting the company’s key strategic goals: collaboration, globalization, and growth. The implementation, which will be performed in phases and is expected to be complete in 2017, will be rolled out to all IHC Merwede sites globally, replacing a large number of  IT systems.

By consolidating its IT environment, IFS says, IHC Merwede will gain increased business agility, transparency and uniformity of information, which is a vital part of its national and international value chain.

“We selected IFS Applications for its proven track record in the shipbuilding industry,” IHC Merwede CFO Dave Vander Heyde said. “IFS understands our business and, because of its global presence, the company is able to support us anywhere in the world, enabling us to work with one core ERP system.”
