Ranieri Tonissi S.p.A., Italian importer of MAN engines and operator of the MAN service base for marine engines, moved to a new headquarters in Genoa in June. The new premises and direct deepwater pier location serve as benefits for yachting and commercial customers, the company said.

The move from Bolzanetto into the harbor at Genoa gives Ranieri Tonissi S.p.A. about 3,000m2 in space for the workshop, storage and administration. Over the last two years, approximately $3.33 million has been invested in the harbor workshop to update its standards to fit modern technology. The new company headquarters location offers short distances and provides service facilities for ships of up to 40m in length, ranging from yachts to working boats.

Alessandro Airoldi, partner of Tonissi, explained, "With the new service base we have brought the high quality standards MAN sets to perfection. The modern and more spacious premises open up new options for us - and therefore also for our customers - in installation consultation, commissioning, sea trials and after sales."

Tonissi has been importing high-speed MAN marine engines and acting as the main service base in Italy for almost 60 years. The company was founded in 1886 and has a workforce of 40 employees in the workshop, service and administration. Airoldi is the third generation of his family to be Company Managing Director.
