Hapag-Lloyd Update on Congestion in Manila.

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

November 8, 2014

The ongoing congestion in Manila has not improved. Consequently, the situation resulted in cumulative delays and build up of containers at the transhipment port in Singapore.

In view of this, Hapag-Lloyd will temporarily halt booking acceptance for shipments destined to Manila North transhipped via Singapore with immediate effect.

It has been notified that the connection via Hong Kong and Kaohsiung is still available but with limited capacity.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and advise as the situation improves.
