FUELTRAX Plans EFMS Event in Nigeria

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

June 14, 2018

FUELTRAX will host a free one-day electronic fuel monitoring solution (EFMS) symposium in Lagos, Nigeria on June 28, to demonstrate the impact of FUELTRAX technology in the West Africa Region.

Representatives from FUELTRAX  will inform how the electronic fuel monitoring solution can ensure fuel security, guarantee compliance and optimize the performance. The symposium at Four Points by Sheraton Lagos will includes technology demonstrations, expert advice, lunch, and Q&A sessions.

The EFMS uses Coriolis mass-flow meters and operating a closed-loop system. It connects owners and operators to their fuel data in real-time, ensuring compliance with MRV regulations, and optimizing performance on every vessel in the fleet, regardless of fuel or engine type, in any location.

Anthony George, founder and CEO of FUELTRAX, said, “Our clients tell us they need a system they can trust, with accurate measurements, and standardized, automated reporting that gives them the facts about their fuel data in real-time. We’re already seeing the impact it’s having in Nigeria, as FUELTRAX works to optimize vessel performance and ensure compliance with fuel regulations.”

As demand for precisely measured, securely tracked, marine fuel data grows in Nigeria and across West Africa, charterers in the region who have implemented FUELTRAX across their entire fleet report improved operating efficiencies, and reduced fuel consumption by upwards of 10 percent, FUELTRAX said.

FUELTRAX is currently installed on more than 100 vessels, a figure that has doubled in one year.

“The day-long conference is a great opportunity to introduce key members of the FUELTRAX team to operators and vessel owners in Nigeria and the West Africa region. We’ll be demonstrating our technology, advising on best practice, responding to questions, and taking the time to get to know our clients and their needs even better,” George said.

FUELTRAX representatives present at the symposium include Bene Okorie, West Africa Operations Manager; John Donovan, Global Operations Director; and Ruben DeLeon, Product Support Director; Jim Slaughter, Sales Director; and Victoria Cantu, Sales & Marketing Manager.
