Royal Caribbean, said on Wednesday that there have not been further developments on its options to build two new 2,100-passenger ships following its December announcement that it was pushing back to late June final decisions on the ships.
It was erroneously reported earlier on Wednesday that Royal Caribbean said in a news release on Tuesday that the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, had extended to June 27 options on two new Radiance-class ships which would cost about $500 million each.
However, a company spokesman clarified that the news release announcing this extension had been issued in December. He added that there had been no new development on the options since then.
