February 2, 2001

Marex.com, Inc. will have a significant presence at the International Boatbuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), scheduled for February 7-9 at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County, Florida Convention Center. More than 12,000 marine business professionals are expected to attend what is being billed as "the marine industry's most powerful four-day learning experience," comprised of 54 seminars, 30 workshops and demonstrations, 32 pre-conference sessions, and access to more than 525 suppliers of the hottest new products and technologies. During the conference, Marex will offer three separate venues to introduce its newly enhanced e-commerce products, MarExpress! and MarexPO!, which facilitate end-to-end electronic procurement transactions between boat builders and suppliers. Version 1.0 of Marex's innovative e-commerce tools were launched in June of 2000, and late last month, the Company rolled out Version 2.0, which boasts greater functionality, increased speed, and an improved user interface. Currently, more than 110 suppliers and 38 internationally recognized boat builders have signed long-term contracts to use Marex's e-commerce solution. "IBEX represents an unique opportunity for Marex because it gathers together our most targeted audience of the year. Almost every person who walks into the Convention Center can specify equipment and supplies that are used in building boats," commented Craig Barrie, the Company's vice president of sales and implementation. "Reaching this extensive audience now is timely for us, since IBEX is held during what is traditionally the design phase of the manufacturing process, with full-bore production peaking in March, April and May in advance of the summer selling season." MarExpress! provides boat builders and other marine industry buyers with a comprehensive e-procurement capability that enables them to buy new parts, supplies, components, and equipment through a transaction-based system. Buyers can research product information from the industry's best suppliers, conduct e-procurement to support business workflows, track orders, and complete product returns through a single, automated, online hub. MarexPO! is a comprehensive e-commerce capability for marine industry suppliers and distributors that provides world-wide exposure and enables them to sell new parts, supplies, components and equipment to marine businesses through a transaction-based system.
