Vessel Fire Forces Platform Evacuation

About 300 have evacuated a platform in the North sea after a fire left a vessel disabled and drifting nearby without power, BBC reported.
 
BG Group told BBC it was removing workers by helicopter from the Lomond installation - about 145 miles east of Aberdeen. 
 
Tugs were sent from Aberdeen to take the drifting vessel under tow.
