Life Cycle Engineering Wins $3.6M NAVAIR Contract
Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) has been awarded a follow-on contract by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Under this new contract, LCE will continue to provide alternative fuel qualification testing for the US Navy.
This work is similar to a contract that LCE already has underway to test the first set of alternative F-76 and JP-5 test fuels which will be completed by mid-2013.
The cost plus fixed fee contract award has a ten-month period of performance with a value of $3.6 million. The work will be managed in Pittsburgh, PA.
“Award of this contract allows Life Cycle Engineering to continue our support of the Naval Air Systems Command by providing testing for up to two additional fuels as well as to incorporate several lessons learned from the first round of tests,” said Ken Siegman, Vice President and Regional Director of the National Capitol Region of LCE’s Engineering Services Group. “LCE is proud to be part of the team that is working to achieve the Secretary of the Navy’s primary energy goal of reducing the Navy’s dependence on petroleum.”
