Halter Marine Gets $400 Million Project For Egyptian Navy
Measuring 199 ft. (60.6 m), the state-of-the-art FMC, which evolved from a proven Halter Ambassador Class patrol craft design, will have a diesel propulsion system. This evolution was made possible by the assistance of Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technological Laboratories. The FMC will provide the Egyptian Navy with the latest in technology and defense capability for any vessel in this class.
In addition to this contract, subject to approval of the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency will add a significant long-term project valued in excess of $400 million to the backlog of Friede Goldman Halter.
