Derecktor Delivers Fire Boat
The vessel is outfitted with twin 275hp Mercury Verado Outboards, a 5KW Kohler gasoline generator, a 50 AMP battery charger, a Coleman SeaMach self-contained heating and air conditioning system, a tow real, and a rescue davit, all while maintaining an ample amount of interior and exterior space required for the safe operation of the vessel by firemen in full firefighting gear. Navigation and communication electronics for the vessel include a Furuno NavNet radar, plotting and depth finder and two VHFs. The vessel conforms to the standards of USCG T-boat per CFR 46 and recommendations of the American Boat and Yacht Council, and its structure is designed in accordance with Lloyds Special Service Craft Rules. Two nonintegral 100 gallon fuel tanks fabricated from aluminum, in compliance with ABYC, provide the fuel for the Mercury Verados and the generator. Vessel capabilities include shallow water maneuvering, four season operation, and the ability to run comfortably at 35 knots.
