At the Seawork show to be held on June 18-20, in Southampton, UK, Transas will provide live demonstrations of its navigational equipment on board a Swedish High Speed Patrol Craft. The new Patrol Craft ENFORCER-II manufactured at the Docksta shipyard arrives from Gothenburg specially for participation at Seawork. This is a new project from the shipyard based on the very successful Combat Boat 90 H, but modified for Police / Coast Guard operations. All the navigation equipment installed onboard Enforcer-II, including GPS, compass, log, echo sounder, radar, electronic chart system, displays and computers, is provided by Transas Scandinavia, which has so far already supplied and installed complex navigation solutions onto over 200 high speed patrol vessels. The core of the patrol vessel bridge is the latest version of the Transas marine navigation and information system, Navi-Sailor 3000. The system incorporates all the functionality of the previously type-approved Navi-Sailor 2400 ECDIS and has some additional innovative features. Significant new capabilities offered by Navi-Sailor 3000 include integrated weather forecasting, multiple chart display and user-selectable screen layout; advanced Route Planning, Radar Overlay and Playback facilities; North-Up/Course-Up/Head-Up chart display modes; Relative and True Motion display; and advanced (U)AIS transponder interface. The electronic chart system Navi-Sailor 3000 is connected to Navi-Radar, another new onboard solution from Transas. Navi-Radar combines a variety of special functions, such as video signal processing, displaying radar and auxiliary information, ARPA tasks, displaying SENC data, the control of radar operations, interfacing with external systems and documenting information.
