SeaArk Delivers Survey Boats to Corps of Engineers

SeaArk Marine, Inc. recently delivered two 2610 survey boats to the Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District.  The vessels are assigned to Pleasant Valley, Iowa and Lock and Dam 18 in Gladstone, Ill.
 
The vessels are powered by twin Mercury Optimax, 225 hp outboard engines with side mounted dual controls and hydraulic trim tabs. These vessels can easily attain a top speed in excess of 34kts fully manned.
 
All enclosed cabin spaces are fully insulated, air conditioned and heated. The pilothouse includes an adjustable, upholstered pilot seat with arms and storage below and padded bench seating with storage below for up to 9 crew members.  The electronic suite includes a Lowrance HDS-7 GPS/WAAS/Chartplotter/depth sounder with insight inland cartography, and a VHF/DSC marine radio.
                                                    
Weather deck equipment includes removable aft safety rails, removable dive ladder with recessed side deck sockets mounted on the port gunnel, push knees, additional set of recessed deck sockets installed at the bow between the push knees for dive ladder use, bow hatch with storage compartment below, anchor package, cargo tie-downs aft, and removable ladder for cabin roof access.
 
AC electrical service is provided by a 7.5 kW Kohler generator located in a fully ventilated generator compartment below the main deck.  Electrical outfitting also includes flood lights, remote operated search light and AC electrical outlets located in the main cabin.
 
The 2610 survey vessel is based upon a proven cathedral hull designed by SeaArk Marine, Inc..  This hull type provides excellent lateral stability necessary for survey operations and is capable of operating in shallow waters.
