Boston Whaler Debuts 270 Dauntless
New vessel is largest model in this feature-rich boat family.
Boston Whaler expands its stylish, feature-rich Dauntless line with the addition of the brand-new 270 Dauntless. As Whaler’s largest Dauntless yet, the 270 joins a family of boats that includes the top-selling 230 Dauntless. The 270 maintains the bold style and impeccable comfort that are Dauntless hallmarks, with enhancements to make this well-appointed boat even bigger and better.
“The 270 Dauntless builds upon the comfort and aesthetically appealing nature of the entire
Dauntless family,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler’s vice president of sales, marketing and
customer service. “With this boat, you’ll get more space, more storage, upgraded helm seating
and leaning post, and you can cruise farther thanks to its size and larger fuel capacity. In true
Dauntless spirit, the 270 is equipped for everything from offshore fishing runs to entertaining to
watersports—and looks stylish doing it all.”
The increased size of the 270 Dauntless allows for an extra spacious bow area, which includes
an incredibly comfortable new forward console seat—sure to be a talked-about feature—and
forward port and starboard seating with folding backrests, allowing as many as four adults to
lounge in comfort and safety. The aft area of the cockpit is designed around the signature stern
seat and casting deck that has made the Dauntless family popular, with a comfortable, full-width
aft bench seat that converts to form a wide casting deck. With a larger-sized boat also comes
increased storage space, including a bow anchor locker with overboard drain, storage under aft
seat, and a market-leading, easy-to-access storage garage for up to five rods and an array of
gear. From wakeboards to PFDs to snacks and drinks, there’s room to bring anything needed
for a full day’s action. Other premium amenities on the 270 Dauntless include an integral swim
platform and a Fusion® stereo with MP3/USB inputs and top-shelf speakers from JL Audio, the
leader in sound quality.
A key feature on the 270 Dauntless is the innovative helm seat, which has an integrated leaning
post with cooler, rod holders, storage and grab rail. A choice of two deluxe leaning post options
adds a 30-gallon livewell or a 3-drawer storage compartment, plus a 35-quart cooler, sink with
fresh water and pull-out sprayer, and more. Another available feature is the integrated hardtop,
which includes cockpit floodlights, red and white dome light, lifejacket storage and four more rod
holders.
