Datatrac Systems Sold to OSG

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

October 29, 2008

The EERL system reduces the paperwork associated with traditional handling of engine room logs; digital data is collected in a PDA, data entry is timed and PIN secured and the data is displayed on a web site. The initiative has been implemented with Flag State Approvals and provides data for trend analysis in addition to transparency and archiving.

The system on board the vessel provides for a paper-free capture of data into rugged, hand held readers. These operate in association with eTags, fixed within the engine room; touching these cue the user to relevant questions and then provide the screen for answers.

Envirotrac allows efficient monitoring, recording and audit of environmental tags. Vessels have environmental tags fitted to waste handling pipe work, associated valves and flanges ensuring integrity of the system. Results from both systems are displayed on a hosted web site where the data can be viewed by OSG.

The system has been  tested over a 12 month period. It can carry out trending on data, it is simple to operate and takes less time to collect and log data; and it provides alarms on data out of acceptable ranges.
